Walking With a Mission

Ray Bromley, President of Infiniti of Mechanicsburg is taking charge with a very important mission. He is serving as Corporate Walk Chair for this year's Light the Night Walk, which benefits the Central Pennsylvania chapter Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

“It is my pleasure to accept the honor to serve as Corporate Walk Chair for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Harrisburg Light the Night Walk. My mother lost her battle with a blood cancer almost 40 years ago. Over that period of time, and especially over the last 10 years, I have watched very closely and have been amazed at the advancements in research that were made possible through all of the fundraising activities of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, including the Light The Night Walk.”

“More than 1 million North Americans are fighting blood cancer, the third leading cause of cancer deaths. So please join me in my effort to Light The Night and celebrate our advancements and successes in the fight against blood cancers.”

Here's to a successful walk...we know it will be!

Earth Day: A Year-round event at Infiniti of Mechanicsburg

Earth day goes beyond a one-day event. For example, we have replaced our old dealership lights with low energy lights that also improve lighting performance. The result is a low-energy lighting system that is both good for the earth and it really improves visibility at night.

Recently installed by Electric Power Savers (EPS), these lights provide less power draw and put out less heat, which results in an increased power capacity. In addition, with the lighting system not working as hard, there is a substantial reduction in the amount of pollution.

The state-of-the-art technology also improves the quality of light. So if you’ve driven past Infiniti of Mechanicsburg at night and thought things look a little brighter, you are right. Earth Day might only be celebrated once a year, but with an increase in green technology, Earth Day will last year round at Infiniti of Mechanicsburg.
In addition, you can do your part as Infiniti will be launching 2 more Hybrid Models soon. In the meantime, you might want to discover the Infiniti M35 Hybrid. www.infinitiofmechanicsburg.com

If THIS Guy is your performance tester, you know things will go well...

The old saying is "racing improves the breed". There is truth to that. When you look at some of the high-tech features that appear in performance vehicles, a lot of them were developed on the race track. The most high-tech racing, Formula 1, is a great example and Infiniti has one of the best F1 drivers on the plant, in Sebastian Vettel.

Vettel is the top driver for Red Bull Racing Infiniti and in his short carrier has already picked up three world championships, and he shows no signs of slowing down in the hotly contested 2013 Formula 1 season.

He is now directly involved in setting up new Infiniti vehicles for driver feel and performance. The result of his work will be revealed in the all-new Infiniti Q50, which is coming out late this summer. There is excitement in the air...

Announcing: The All-new Infiniti QX60 Hybrid

Well, consider it official...the new Infiniti QX60 will be available in hybrid form...and at just a $3,000 premium over the conventional QX60 model. And yes, it will deliver on the fuel economy front. In fact, the QX60 will be the most fuel-efficient 3-row luxury crossover on the market. How's that for Inspired Performance of the green variety?

Infiniti announced that a new gasoline electric hybrid model will join the 2014 Infiniti QX60 premium crossover lineup in the United States this summer, following its world debut at the New York International Auto Show.

With the addition of the new QX60 Hybrid to the Q70 Hybrid (currently available as the M Hybrid) and previously announced Q50 Hybrid, Infiniti will have a trio of advanced Direct Response Hybrids for the 2014 model year.

The new Infiniti QX60 Hybrid is projected to realize 26 miles per gallon fuel economy (combined city/highway driving) – a 24 percent increase over non-hybrid QX60 models and is projected to have best 7-passenger fuel efficiency in the segment. Most significantly, it does so with absolutely no compromise of performance, interior roominess or cargo space compared to non-hybrid QX60 models
.
The new QX60 Hybrid will be powered by a 2.5-liter supercharged engine and 15 kW electric motor connected to an advanced CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission). Net system horsepower is estimated at 250 horsepower. Based on technology found in the Infiniti M35h Hybrid, the QX60 Hybrid's Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid® system uses a compact Lithium-ion battery and electric motor to provide supplementary power through its one-motor/two-clutch system. The result is a delivery of power equivalent to the 3.5-liter V6 but with 4-cylinder fuel economy. An Intelligent Regenerative Braking system partially recharges the battery during vehicle braking.
