A Day for a Deal

When you look at the historical data you will find that 7 of the 10 best days to buy a car fall in the month of December. Today and tomorrow are just two of the days in that range.
Why is December a great time to buy a new car you might ask? Well, the end of the year has typically been a good time to buy as companies want that last minute competitive push before the new year starts. But this year, there are also other factors...some of them are weather related, due to the effects of vehicles that were lost during Hurricane Sandy.
The added benefit of buying now is that you can still take advantage of great offers as the Infiniti Limited Engagement Winter event is still going strong. Exceptional lease offers, great selection (while it lasts!) and the Inspired Performance of a new Infiniti. It all adds up to the best time to buy. So, if you have had your eye on an Infiniti...this would be the best time to call Infiniti of Mechanicsburg at 717-691-8900 or select from the inventory online at www.infinitiofmechanicsburg.com

What's in a name...or letter?

In 1989 Infiniti was launched with the flagship Q45 sedan. Since then the product lineup has increased...significantly. As a result there are various sedans, coupes, crossovers, convertibles and SUVs with various model designations. This can cause some confusion...so, starting with the 2014 model year, Infiniti has decided to go back to their roots and simplify things.
All cars will be "Q" models, while all SUV/Crossovers will be "QX" models. Simplicity at its finest.

Press Release:

December 18th 2012: Marking another significant step in its plan to further expand its presence in the premium automotive sector, Infiniti today announced details of a new nomenclature strategy to be applied to its complete product range beginning with the 2014 model year. The first model to carry Infiniti's new Q badge will be the Q50, an all-new premium sports sedan to be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in January 2013.

The premium automotive brand will see its model range simply prefixed either by Q – for sedans, coupes and convertibles, or QX, for crossover and SUV models. Each model will be further identified by a double digit representing hierarchy within the range. This strategic change reflects Infiniti's desire for clarity and cohesiveness as it embarks on ambitious growth plans, including significant expansion of the Infiniti portfolio.

Commenting on the revised naming philosophy, Johan de Nysschen, President of Infiniti Motor Company Limited, said: "Over the past few months, we have talked at length with our retailers, our customers, and our business partners about our brand. The need for a new identity and direction to promote consumer familiarity with our model range as we expand the portfolio became evident. To achieve this, we clearly needed a simple and consistent nomenclature framework. After exhaustive research and evaluation, we concluded that 'Q' captured the inspiration within the next generation of Infiniti models, as well as emphasizing our performance credentials while harking back to our heritage with the Q45 – Infiniti's first iconic flagship product in 1989."

Infiniti's new nomenclature strategy will be implemented in logical stages within the existing product range, as 2014 model year variants are introduced. The brand's future plans include a range of next-generation Infiniti models that will carry Q and QX badging from the outset.

Relief to Those in Need

As we are all aware, Hurricane Sandy has devastated a large portion of New Jersey and New York, in addition to other areas along the east coast. As a result, homes are lost and vehicles are lost. In an effort to help rebuild lives, Infiniti is offering assistance to those whose vehicles were destroyed in the storm.

Press Release:

In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, Infiniti announced it will offer employee pricing and special financing with deferred payments to people in the designated FEMA disaster area who have an insurance claim on their current vehicle due to the storm.
Infiniti will offer these programs beginning Nov. 1, 2012 through Jan. 2, 2013, and allows buyers to take advantage of special pricing on new 2013 Infiniti models and is available at local Infiniti retailers. Details about the pricing and finance programs will be available at infinitiusa.com.

“Our hearts go out to the millions of people along the East Coast that are affected by this devastating storm,” said Ben Poore, vice president, Infiniti Americas. “We hope Infiniti’s special pricing and financing program helps some people get mobile again and resume their normal lives.”

Infiniti Financial Services (IFS) will provide assistance to help victims get back on their feet without the added burden of an immediate vehicle payment. IFS will defer payments for new vehicle purchases for up to three months to provide extra assistance to those in need.

Current IFS customers in FEMA disaster areas will be offered payment extensions for qualifying leases and retail purchases for up to three payments without extension fees.

Study: Infiniti Has Highest Emotional Attachment Among Auto Brands

With fans willing to camp out for as long as a week to be one of the first to have one of the new iPhones, it’s no surprise that Apple’s now-iconic mobile phone topped the 2012 LEAP (Leveraging Emotional Appeal for Profit) Brand Index list. But one surprise standout was the highest-raking automotive brand. Infiniti came in third on the list, just behind the iPhone and iPod and above every other auto brand.

LEAP measures emotional attachment to brands in 38 categories using a proprietary methodology. Since people spend a great deal of time in their cars and using personal electronic devices, the fact that consumer technology and automotive brands ranked highly is not a surprise. The only non-automotive or tech brand among the top 10 was Disney Parks. Apple and its products was a big winner overall with four out of the top 10 spots being an Apple product or the brand itself.

Infiniti was the clear cut winner among automotive brands, with the next brand in the survey ranked at number 6. With a strong performance and technology focus, Infiniti has a connection with its customers that the competition cannot match. If you are new to Infiniti, your next step should to be to experience the brand for yourself. Cost of Ownership: Insurance...

When you compare new car prices, it is clear that Infiniti offers a lot of luxury, performance, and technology for the money.  When you add in the actual cost of ownership, Infiniti is a clear winner.

Car insurance resource Automobile.com released the findings of their latest consumer survey comparing the cost to insure vehicles from the luxury arms of the "big three" Japanese automakers. For the purpose of this study, Infiniti, Lexus and Acura were examined.

The study found drivers of Infiniti vehicles paid the least for insurance each year at an average of $958.28. Next was Lexus drivers who reported paying an average of $981.30. Acura was determined to be the most costly of the three at an average of $1184.06, or 24% higher than Infiniti and 21% higher than Lexus.

What Sets the Infiniti JX Apart? Let's start with the interior...

While there are more than a few 3rd row crossovers on the market, very few consider seating comfort for all three rows. With unique sliding second row access and ample room in the all-new Infiniti JX, the bar has been raised.

Getting to the rear seats of many crossovers is usually a lamentable chore. But Infiniti has taken some steps to mitigate the frustration. The middle seat collapses into itself at the pull of a lever and then slides forward, revealing a clear path to the third row. Behind that is enough cargo space for two full-size suitcases. When not in use, both the second and third row will also fold flat.

Once your cargo is stowed, your charges are buckled in, and you finally hit the road, you're treated to an excellent driving experience. To experience the versatility of the 2013 Infiniti JX, simply stop in our showroom at the Carlisle Pike. You can reach our sales team at 691-8900.

More on the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 Car

The Pennsylvania Auto Show is just around the corner, and in addition to the all-new Infiniti JX Crossover, we will also have another show-stopper on hand...the Red Bull Racing Infiniti Formula 1 car.

Press Release here...

(Mechanicsburg, January 24) – Infiniti of Mechanicsburg today announced it will display an actual competition-tested Red Bull Racing F1 car at the 2012 Pennsylvania Auto Show, which runs at the Pennsylvania Farm Show & Expo Center from January 26th to the 29th.  The Red Bull Racing Team has become a major force in the world’s most competitive racing circuit.

Supported by the inspired partnership with Infiniti, Red Bull Racing dominated the 2011 F1 season, winning 12 of 19 Grand Prix events in 2011 and 24 wins in the last 41 races – an extraordinary record of consistency and speed.

For the 2012 season, Infiniti branding will be featured more prominently on Red Bull Racing’s cars with enhanced logos on the side of the chassis and the top of the cockpit.  In addition, Infiniti and Red Bull Racing will increase the global and market leverage of their partnership through more marketing and media activities throughout the year.

The Infiniti name and logo will also be displayed on new areas of the drivers’ overalls, as well as on team equipment.  This accelerated program underlines Infiniti’s shared vision with Red Bull Racing, extending into exciting new areas of technical and product collaboration.  Infiniti is also continuing to build on its personal agreement with two-time Formula One Driver’s Championship winner Sebastian Vettel, who has already worked on several projects with the company, including the launch of the Infiniti FX Sebastian Vettel version at last fall’s Frankfurt Motor Show.

“We’re pleased to be able to share this historic race car with visitors to the Infiniti booth at the Pennsylvania Auto Show,” said Ray Bromley, Dealership Principal.  “It’s the prefect complement to the Inspired Performance lineup of 2012 Infinitis on display at the show.  We invite everyone to stop by.”
